Surbhi Sarang joins the EJ Program as a Kirkland & Ellis New York City Public Service Fellow after graduating from Columbia Law School in the spring. At Columbia, Surbhi was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as an articles editor for the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. She brings significant environmental law experience from internships and clinical work at the EPA’s Office of Civil Enforcement, Earthjustice, the Environmental Defense Fund, and Columbia’s Environmental Law Clinic. Before law school, she worked at a social enterprise in Mumbai, India that provides job training to skilled and unskilled workers, as well as at a media organization in London that develops environmental documentaries. She is particularly interested in developing innovative policy to address environmental issues.
