Senior Staff Attorney Christine Appah-Gyamfi, of the Environmental Justice Program, represented NYLPI on a panel at Columbia Law School’s recent symposium on environmental justice on October 19. The symposium was co-hosted by the Columbia Journal of Race and Law and the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. Panelists included noted environmental justice advocates from community organizations and academia. Mrs. Appah-Gyamfi spoke about NYLPI’s work on key urban environmental issues and our community lawyering model. The program was well attended by several law, urban planning students, practitioners and interested members of the community.
