NYLPI Staff Attorney Rachel Spector has been working with the NY Healthy Nail Salon Coalition to reduce exposure of nail salon workers, predominantly immigrant women, to toxic chemicals in the workplace. The Coalition has been working with the Governor’s office as well as other officials at the City level to move forward new regulations and enforcement actions and applauds the Governor’s May 18 announcement.
