HJ attorney educates Surrogate’s Court judges on immigrant access to healthcare

November 16, 2017

Health Justice, Immigrant Justice

HJ Staff Attorney and UndocuCare Project Manager, Sarika Saxena, is presenting at the New York City Surrogate’s Judges monthly roundtable on immigrant access to healthcare today.  In light of concerning Staten Island hospital practices on behalf of undocumented and uninsured individuals in need of nursing home or rehabilitative care, the director of the roundtable asked NYLPI to come speak about the intersection of immigration and healthcare, and the lessons we have learned.  We thank the judges for their interest.
