Menstrual hygiene product dispenser

As Gotham Gazette reports, on June 2nd, Council Members Julissa Ferreras-Copeland, Melissa Mark-Viverito, and Ydanis A. Rodriguez introduced three bills to City Council that would require menstrual hygiene products be available in NYC schools, temporary shelters and correctional facilities. NYLPI’s HJ Community Organizer, Sola Stamm, testified in support of these bills. These three bills resulted from Council Member Ferreras-Copeland’s Queens-based successful pilot program that made menstrual hygiene products accessible in 25 different schools.
